CEDRAT leads the MoCoSyMec project January 6, 2012

MoCoSyMec (Mechatronic Systems modelling and design) is a French project which goal is to build a next-generation tool to meet designer’s needs for today and tomorrow’s challenges.

Complex systems simulation, combination of various scientific and technical disciplines in a multi-competences project team, communication with customers and partners: those are the required capabilities the future tool will have.
Funded by the ANR (National Research Agency), this project relies on the simulation tool Portunus, more particularly for the use of the VHDL-AMS language and the Functional Virtual Prototyping methodology.

Started in 2009, January, the outcome of the project is planned for the end of 2012.

Vincent Ardon will present all his thesis work performed at G2Elab and CEDRAT to introduce parasitic capacitances in the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) modeling of the structures of power electronics.

You are cordially invited to his thesis which will be held on June 21, 2010 at 10:30 in the A010  auditorium of ENSE3 (Ampere site - old ENSIEG) and the traditional drink which will follow at the local G2Elab. Access to ENSE3

Thesis title: Numerical methods and tools to take into account capacitive effects in the EMC modeling of power electronic devices. Abstract

Flux v10.3 new patch: so fast! November 05, 2009

CEDRAT is pleased to announce the release of Flux 10.3.2 patch.

  • Enhancements brought by the patch
New embedded circuit editor for which user interaction and connection algorithms have been improved.
Some bugs corrections, resulting in a version of better quality.
  • Linux version
Flux v.10.3.2 also brings for the first time a Flux Linux version, running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Edition 5.3, 32 and 64 bits.
With Linux, gain from a better memory management and increase solving speed !
We noticed an average speed increase of 15 to 20% with Linux equipped machines.
  • Flux speed improvement
Benefit from reduced computation time on 32 bits machines using Flux v.10.3 leading to a tremendous acceleration of the solving process when comparing to v10.2.
Examples demonstrated at last Flux User Conference:
    - 75% on a typical 3D magnetostatic case
    - 80% on a 3D transient analysis

All the Flux v10.3 benefits can be found at: Flux 10.3 New features
