Thirty years have gone by since the very first sale of a Flux license in 1981. Thirty years is the age of wisdom. Thirty years is an anniversary that we celebrate with much joy in this 60th edition of Cedrat News. During these last three decades, we showed our capabilities to face, anticipate and plan for the future.  We built on our experience and showed a feistiness which carried us through the many economic and market crises. Our success in maintaining our momentum, we owe to our many collaborators, our distributors, our customers and our employees; all of our partners. After a stormy year in 2009, let’s hope that 2010 is a year full of stability, promise and recovery. In this context, global awareness for considering our ecology is more and more prevalent. Improved energy efficiency and environmental protection become important subjects for the future.

This is the reason why we have decided to include a new "Green rendez vous" in each release of CEDRAT News. The goal of increasing efficiency in power conversion will force everyone to consider innovative perspectives for mechatronic systems; practically speaking this means assessing totally new technologies, or refining/optimizing existing designs.

CEDRAT’s aim is to provide you with an efficient set of simulation tools which are well suited for such design tasks; not only through robust and accurate numerical methods, but also with fast and powerful analytical tools.
